How To Shop More Ethically

Exploitation is not sustainable.

Most popular brands use workers in less economically developed countries, in Sri Lanka the average monthly salary for a garment worker is $194. The pandemic has allowed the exploitative owners to force workers to stay in the factories due to lockdown regulations. Workers are often led to these factories under false promises.

Here are 3 ways to help you shop more ethically...

Shop Ethical: shop around and find out which companies beliefs and practices align with yours.

Demand Transparency : most websites will have a mission statement about their manufacturing if not, ask them. Send them a message and ask, if they can't answer, don't be afraid to call them out.

Start Conversations: use your social media to talk about the real issues and educate those around you by sharing and interacting with posts like this!
