What is Juneteenth?

On June 19, 1865, enslaved African-Americans in Galveston, Texas, were told they were free. A century and a half later, people in cities and towns across the U.S. continue to celebrate the occasion.

How did the bowties come about?

As Black-owned businesses and members of the ORIGINS Business program, Nisha and Nathan of Rebel Bred talk regularly about business goals and navigating entrepreneurship as Black creatives. We also discuss the importance of brand values and building a business that contributes to the greater good of the community and the world. One day, Nathan mentioned that he was in the process of developing a limited edition clutch bag using fabric imported from Ghana. The bags are lovely and Nathan, knowing that Knotzland can use a range of materials for bowties, dropped off the remaining scraps from his collection into our showroom mailbox. The rest is pure magical bowties (4 to be exact!)

Now you can don this limited edition collection proudly, knowing that you are supporting the vision dreams of 2 Black-owned businesses
