Massachusetts-born, Pittsburgh-based artist and educator
Nora Gilchrist is a Massachusetts-born, Pittsburgh-based artist and educator. She is intrigued by historical and social matters, which she tends to see through an art-historical lens. She is dedicated to sustainability and the democratizing of creative culture, and is grateful to be able to do work she is passionate about via her position as Creative Education Coordinator at Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse. She loves creating portraits, especially ones depicting feminine beauty and power. She is especially fascinated by women who might be regarded as "unsung heroes". You can see more of her art here.
